Big Horn Sheep!

Morning visitor ...

... last night it was very windy. So windy, it blew my camp stove off the picnic table onto the ground. As I was picking it up, I heard a noise behind me. I turned and looked, and this guy was about 15 feet away. I was excitingly startled!

Then at sunset, he back to see me!! Oh my ...

I was sitting at the picnic table at my campsite, eating dinner, and reading. I had been there about 30 minutes. It was nice, peaceful, with the Sun shining on the redrocks nearing sunset. I heard a noise behind me, a loud scratching, and I turned to see this Big Horn, probably same as this morning, staring at me. Standing on a rock ledge 10 feet high about 10 yards away. Pretty close! I said "Hi! Nice to see you again. Did you come back to visit? How was your day?" I told him about my day. He listened. He stood there for about ten minutes, mostly looking at me, occasionally turning his head and or lifting his head up or down. Just after the sun set behind the western mountain of boulders, he walked away peacefully ...
