The Southern Live Oak ... it is an "evergreen" tree in that they do not drop their leaves in the Fall. They drop leaves in late winter, but by then new leaves have grown, so they are never bare. https://www.nps.gov/foma/learn/nature/oak.htm

I did 215 miles bicycling (over seven days) on the Tammany Trace paved bike trail that goes through the Fontainebleau State Park. There are tall pine trees that line the path for a majority of those miles. Nearly the entire trail is through a densely vegetated swamp environment. It is a fantastic place to ride!

Fontainebleau State Park rests on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. First sunset of winter was a beauty!
