Goblins!
Goblins!

October 27-29, 2025

I drove from Moab to Goblin Valley on Monday and stayed in the campground two nights. Ad their brochure mentions a couple times, the landscape is other worldly. The Goblins were formed by a similar process of land formation by sedimentation in an ancient inland sea, eventual uplift, and erosion all taking place over a time period of about 140-170 million years. It's a unique environment.

Kids love running around and climbing on the Goblins. It's a playground covering many acres!

I liked the solitude, the distance from towns, the wide open spaces as much as the Goblin landscape. It is a great place for biking. the roads being in good shape and providing spectacular views. The surrounding area has a great many trails and dirt roads for mountain biking.

The campground staff were very helpful and friendly, too!

Next on my path is Capitol Reef National Park ...
