96. Valley of Fire State Park, Seven Wonders Trail

The two main features of Seven Wonders are slot canyons (short but wonderful) and the colored twisting layers of sedimentary rock. The slot canyons are fun to walk through, in dry times of course. It is amazing how water and geologic factors conspire to create these wonders. Seven Wonders can be combined with Fire Wave to do a 1.8 mile loop. That is snot very long in terms of distance, but the environment and atmosphere are conducive to meandering, to letting one's eyes wander over the physical landscape, while at least as much, contemplating the landscape within ... both are amazing!
